Chairman announces he would like to transition out of position

The big news from the bi-monthly meeting of the Salvation Army board on Thursday came from Chairman Gary Porter.

Porter announced that he would like to transition out of his position as chairman of the Pulaski County Salvation Army citing “other commitments,” a wish for “fresh ideas” and a belief that changes in leadership occasionally helped “encourage growth.”
