- Drumline, Guard to perform Friday
- Posted March 14, 2013 midnight
- More than 75 Waynesville High School students – including the Drum Line, 6-8 Guard, Winter Guard and Indoor Percussion Ensemble – will perform during the Winter Showcase at 7 p.m. Friday, March 15, at the WHS gym. Audience members will feel the beat as the students use drums, bass guitars, xylophones, keyboards and other instruments to bring their show’s theme “one person can make a difference” to life, while the 6-8 Guard and Winter Guard will interpret the theme through movement and dance. The students regularly compete in a regional circle, but this will be their only “hometown” performance. The event is free and open to the public.
