Photo: Big trucks 'playing' in the mud

Big trucks “playing” in the mud
By Connie Goff/GHNS
Evidence of the abundant rainfall this spring is apparent as Jay Painter, dozer operator for Loch Sand and Construction Company (right), pulls David Moses, operating a scraper, out of a muddy predicament. Mark Wilson, supervisor of the project at Northwest Missouri Regional Airport, said the company has been working on the 600-foot extension to the airport runway for three days. "We need dry weather," Wilson said. "It helps that there has not been any rain this week." (Maryville Daily Forum)
