The Iberia High School softball team finished 1-2 in the Fatima Tournament on Saturday.

In the first game Iberia lost to St. Elizabeth 3-0. St. Elizabeth got an unearned run in the first inning and two more in the fifth. Taylor Honeycutt was the losing hurler.


In the second game Iberia lost to host Fatima 14-3. Honeycutt was again the losing pitcher, as Iberia committed five errors. Fatima had 14 hits.

In the third game the Lady Rangers clipped Owensville 3-2. Honeycutt was the winning pitcher, improving her record and the team’s overall mark to 2-2.


Hailey Vance was 5-for-8 at the plate with a triple and RBI on the day for Iberia while Ashley Edmonds added three hits and Honeycutt and Marley Law each had two hits. Madison Gooden, Taylor Shreve and Savana Fritchey all had one hit.
