  • Judi Anne (Elwell) Emery earned her angel wings February 15 2012, with her family by her side at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri.
She was born September 22 1953, in Stuttgart Germany to Floyd and Eva Elwell.  The young family moved to the United States shortly after Judi's birth.
Judi graduated from Waynesville High School in 1971 and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia.  She was blessed with one daughter, Amy, in August of 1979.  Judi was joined in holy matrimony to her husband, Steven, on April 1 1989.  They were married nearly 25 years.
Judi loved nothing more than having a fresh vase of lilacs by her side while reading a good book. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandson Davis.  Judi's thoughtfulness and kindness will be greatly missed.  She was always giving and sharing with her loved ones to remind them how special they were to her.
Mrs. Emery is survived by her mother, Eva Elwell; husband, Steven Emery; one daughter, Amy Dodds-Stickney; two sisters Diane Belanger and Terry Ablin; one brother Floyd Elwell III; two nephews Bruce Runion and Alex Ablin; and one grandson Davis Kaufman.  She is preceded in death by her father, Floyd Elwell Jr and grandmother Gertrude "Omi" Kiesewetter.
"Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy."  ~Author Unknown
