  • Mattie Mable Krafczik was born March 29, 1922 in Pulaski County, Mo to Bertha Mae Smith (Aaron) and Joseph Thomas Smith.

  • Mattie Mable Krafczik was born March 29, 1922 in Pulaski County, Mo to Bertha Mae Smith (Aaron) and Joseph Thomas Smith.  
    She was united in marriage on September 23, 1950, for 39 years to Emil S. Krafczik from Duke, Mo and to this union one daughter and one son were born.  They each brought one child to the marriage, Imogene and Lorie.
    Mattie was a lifelong resident of Duke, Mo. She accepted Christ and was devoted to God and her family. She was retired Civil Service where she worked at the Quarter Master Laundry on Fort Leonard Wood.  She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, quilting, word puzzles, and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball.  She belonged to “The Club” where she took part in quilting lap throws for the Gingerbread House in Rolla.
    Mattie was preceded in death by her husband Emil Krafczik, daughter Imogene Cude, stepson Lorie Krafczik, mother, father, five brothers, three sisters, one grandson, and one great-grandson.
    She will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes one brother Ray Smith, 101 years old of Dixon, daughter Jacqueline Ross and son-in-law Terry of Duke, son Emil Krafczik and daughter-in-law Sherri of Labadie, MO son-in-law Geary Cude Sr. of Kansas City, grandchildren; Geary Cude Jr. (Angela), Teresa Rodriguez, David Ross (Jennifer), Michelle Pearson (Andy), Christopher Ross (Tina), Jamie Neal (Cody), Thomas Ross (Lydia), Emil Samuel Krafczik III, Angela Moore (Chris), Amanda Salazar (Freddy), 35 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
    Mattie is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
    All arrangements are under the direction of Teague and Sons Funeral Home in Newburg.
    Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 4 p.m. – 8p.m. at Teague and Sons Funeral Home in Newburg.
    Funeral Services are scheduled for 11a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Teague and Sons Funeral Home in Newburg.
    Interment to follow at Ozark Memorial Gardens in Rolla, MO.
