  • PACE strives to give children the skills needed to have a successful school career.  Teachers work with the children to meet individual and group goals in a small classroom setting.  Parent involvement is a large part of the program.  Involvement includes activity nights, conferences, literature nights, and activities for home.  Children accepted into  P.A.C.E. Preschool for the 2012-2013 school year will be able to experience a new early childhood wing built to enhance their school experience and create a wonderful learning atmosphere.
P.A.C.E. screenings help the teachers identify areas that a child needs to strengthen before starting kindergarten. Some children may need more academic challenges, while others might need to work on social or behavioral skills.  The bulk of P.A.C.E. screenings will be held in May and August, so please try to have your child screened during those two times.  Every child screened with P.A.C.E. will either be accepted into the program or placed on our waiting list according to their screening results.  As openings become available we call the next number on the waiting list.
P.A.C.E. Preschool is now accepting appointments for their screenings.  This is a free part day preschool offered through the Waynesville School District. It is open to all children in the Waynesville School District.  The only requirement is that children must be 3 years old by AUGUST 1, 2012 and be potty trained.
P.A.C.E. preschool is located on Fort Leonard Wood at Williams Elementary. To schedule an appointment or for more information please call (573) 452-2900.
