This coming Saturday, 12 May, the Historical Society is having their annual “Open House” at the Old Courthouse Museum. Activities will start at 8am with a ‘bake sale’ on the front lawn, & the museum will open early for those who have other events to attend. At 2pm we will have a program by Randal
A. Burd, Jr. of Dixon, MO. and it is titled: “Fatal Ailments of the 20th Century in Pulaski County.” He will also be showing portraits of some of his ancestry along with the power point presentation. We have restored another room by removing a brick wall and taking it back to when it was originally the Assessor’s Office, 1903.
It is now our office and this room is open for viewing just during our “Open House”.
The 50/50 drawing will be in progress until end of Sept. and you may be the lucky winner. There is a drawing on an afghan made by Flo Cohn, and we are doing a cookbook of old time recipes which will be available next April.
Stop by to pick up an application. ***The 50/50 and afghan drawing will be available ONLY at the Pulaski County Museum.
