The Dixon Bluegrass Festival promises to be fun entertainment for the entire family. Four full days of music are scheduled for today, tomorrow, Sunday and Monday in the midst of the majestic Ozarks.
Each afternoon, different bands will take to the main stage to entertain the crowds with some authentic bluegrass music. This festival is a time-honored tradition in the local area and always draws a crowd.
Hear from scheduled bands and groups including New Dog Old Tricks, Jimmie Allison and the Ozark Rounders and Lost Hill Bluegrass.
This afternoon, the music is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. with the Current River Bluegrass Band and bands will be on the main stage until approximately 10 p.m. Tomorrow, the main stage will come alive at 1 p.m. Live entertainment is scheduled until 11 p.m. Sunday, the lineup starts at 2 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m. The bluegrass festival is scheduled to conclude Monday evening with a grand finale jam.
Live music isn’t the only draw at the festival; there will be dozens of vendors selling crafts and other items as well. Single-day or multi-day passes are available for purchase. If you want to make a mini vacation out of the music fest, camping is also available on the park grounds for both tents and RVs.
This event is one of the longest running bluegrass festivals in the state. Come out to Dixon and experience the artistry and music this Memorial Day weekend.
