A St. Robert man has been charged in the alleged theft of items from a local pastor's residence, according to a press release from Pulaski County Sheriff J.B. King.
Chad Fajardo, 29, of St. Robert has been charged with on count of theft over $500, but less than $25,000, a Class C felony.
King reported in his press release that the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department received a report from the Pastor of a church that he had items taken from his residence.
The pastor told PCSD that a party he had let stay with him for a few days in order to get back on his feet had admitted taking the items and pawning them at a local pawn shop, according to the press release.
A deputy responded and took a report before contacting the suspect who made statements as to the theft and the pawning of the stolen items, according to the press release.
Fajardo was arrested and taken to the Pulaski County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold while a statement of probable cause was sent to the Pulaski County Prosecutor requesting charges for this incident.
Fajardo was charged, the bond was set at $35, 000, he is being held in the Pulaski County Jail pending the posting of bond.
