Buckhorn played host to hundreds of bikers over the weekend during the Mid America Freedom Rally. This was the 24th year for the rally, which is dedicated to the memory of service members who paid the ultimate price for American freedom.
The event ran from Thursday to Monday and featured field games, motorcycle shows, concerts and a special ceremony to mark Memorial Day. Despite the high temperatures, the rally once again drew a massive crowd of bikers, who camped at the Pulaski County Shriners Club.
Tracy Daniels, who put on a chainsaw woodcarving demonstration during the event, said he’s been attending the rally for several years.
“It’s always a good time,” he said.
The annual event is put on by seven local chapters of the Freedom of Road Riders organization, including chapters from Waynesville, Rolla and Lebanon.
