The Waynesville High School football team will take part in a three team jamboree tonight at Slaughter Field.

The Tigers will host the Nixa Eagles and the Marshfield Blue Jays in their annual jamboree that will showcase their players in the upcoming season.

“This gives our players a chance to go against varsity players in game situations,” said Waynesville varsity coach Rick Vernon.

The difference between this and a normal game is that coaches can stop play, start from whatever position on the field they want and come out to the huddle and talk to the players before the play is ran.

This will be the last season the jamboree will be held at Slaughter Field at the middle school as the football team will begin play in their new stadium at the high school next season. The games start at 6:00 p.m.
