  • WAYNESVILLE – Police are searching for the suspect involved in the robbery of Mid-Missouri Credit Union, which is located at 1300 Cash James Road in Waynesville.
    According to a news release from the Waynesville Police Department, the robbery occurred Friday around 12:45 p.m.
    The robbery suspect approached a teller at the credit union and demanded money, the police stated. After the suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and left the credit union, he headed east on Historic Route 66.
    The suspect is described as a black male who was carrying a blue tote type bag with a BDU camouflage shirt over his arm. The suspect is approximately 6 feet tall, weighs 150 to 160 pounds and was wearing a yellow or gold colored hat, white T-shirt and blue jeans.
    The suspect is still at large and may be armed and dangerous, the police warned.
    The Waynesville Police Department did not confirm if the suspect was armed or not. The investigation is still ongoing.
