Crocker softball has yet to be scored on in the Frisco League Tournament as it advanced to the finals with an 8-0 victory against Newburg Monday night.

Crocker would score its first run in the first inning when Delayne Patton would single to right to drive in Kelsi York.

Jeanna Mendez and Hannah Adams each drove in a run in the third inning to give Crocker a 3-0 lead. The Lions added on four more runs in the fourth inning, all after there were two outs in the inning, capped off by a two run double from Heather Bomar, giving Crocker a 7-0 lead.

Lindsay Medlin scored Crocker's final run of the game in the fifth inning on a wild pitch. Adams won her fourth game of the year, striking out 18 in the process. Adams now has a scoreless inning streak of 16 going.

Iberia started the day by defeating the host team Stoutland 14-2, to advance to the next round where the Rangers held Dixon to no hits until the seventh inning. Dixon then got four runs to tie the game and three more runs in the top of the eighth to win it 7-4.

Laquey will play aginats Richland in the consolation game at 4:00 p.m., Iberia will face Newburg in the third place game at 6 p.m. and Crocker will face Dixon in the championship game at 8 p.m. All games will be played tonight.
