Waynesville High School opened its volleyball season in unflattering fashion dropping both matches over the weekend.
Dixon took the first set against Waynesville 25-16, but Waynesville battled back to take the second set, 25-22. Dixon took the third and final set 25-22 to win the match.
Alyssa Arnold had seven aces and Kallie Bildner had six kills against Dixon.
On Friday night, Waynesville traveled to Springfield and lost 25-15 and 25-18 against the Falcons. Breonna Copeland had 13 kills and Chelsey Howser had seven digs.
“That game really helped our team see what we need to work on,” said Davidson. “It is early in the season and we will continue to work hard to be successful.”
Waynesville will travel to Marshfield on Thursday.
