The Laquey and Stoutland High School softball teams have advanced and will face each other in the Frisco League Tournament consolation game.

In the first game of the afternoon, Laquey senior Kayla Fleshute led the Hornets to a 15-0 trouncing of the Plato Eagles. Fleshute was 3-3 with three RBIs in the rout and also picked up the win, tossing a complete game one hitter.

Seven out of the nine Laquey hitters drove in runs. The Hornets would score seven runs in each of the first two innings and pick up the final run in the bottom of the third to mercy rule Plato.

In the second game of the afternoon, Stoutland had to come from three runs down in the top of the sixth to win the game. Richland was up 6-3 and cruising when the Tigers would explode for eight runs in the inning after sending 12 hitters to the plate.

Stoutland had three doubles and four singles in the inning and Richland committed two errors, when all was said and done Stoutland had an 11-3 lead.

Richland would add a run in the sixth and the seventh but it was to late and Stoutland secured the 12-8 victory.
