Tennis matches normally do not end in ties, but on Tuesday night, the Waynesville High School girls' tennis team tied Osage 4-4 due to the match times and the lack of lighting.

“Two of our singles matches lasted over two hours extending into some less than desirable lighting,” said head coach Paula Davis.

On the singles side, senior Magi House was down 5-1 but battled back. She eventually lost the set to Ana Blacksher 8-4.

Senior Maria Hartley's match ended in a draw because of the lighting, with Hartley trailing 7-6.

“Both girls had really long rallies and played very well,” said Davis.

Waynesville next plays at home against Camdenton tonight at 4:30 p.m.
