The Waynesville High School boys soccer team suffered their first loss of the season to Joplin 5-0 on Tuesday night.
Joplin scored two goals in the first half, the first just 1:42 into the game and the second goal came at the 30:57 mark.
Joplin scored their third goal of the game 6:16 into the second half and followed that up with another goal 30 seconds later to lead 4-0. The last goal came at the 33:08 mark.
Waynesville is 2-1 in the season and 1-1 in Ozark Conference play. Waynesville took 12 shots in the game with four on goal and had two corner kicks.
Joplin took 20 shots with 12 on goal and had six corner kicks. Waynesville saved seven shots in the game.
Waynesville will travel to Willard today for a 4:30 p.m. game against the Willard Tigers.
