Waynesville High School Homecoming 2012 was a week long-celebration with the theme "Traditions". As sponsor of Friday night's football game, Citizens Mortgage Company chose to pay tribute to all the returning alumni to Waynesville.

Twyla Cordry, owner of Citizens Mortgage Company was at Friday night's game and honored the oldest Waynesville High School graduate in attendance.

Marvin Long, class of 1948 was honored at the halftime and was given a $500 scholarship pledged in his name from Citizens mortgage. The scholarship will be presented to a 2013 graduating senior at next May's honors program.

Long graduated at the age of 16 and served as the mayor of Waynesville during the 1970s.

Also in attendance were others graduating from the class of 1949, 1950 and through 2012.
