Battlefront 2 Homefront is an organization that works to establish direct assistance to local Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, & Civilians; with a special emphasis on Wounded Warriors, Veterans & family members, caregivers, women, and children.
1) Christmas shopping, family photos with Santa, haircuts, and much more:There will be tons of vendors to begin your Christmas shopping with at the Expo and Bazaar. There will be pictures with Santa ($5)/family pictures ($3) both with free reprint rights; as well as $3 men's haircuts from "Off the Top" Barbers, Veterans with an VA ID or a DD214 & picture ID receive free pictures & haircuts from the barber/ hair dresser for them and their spouse.
2)Women's Expo and Fashion Show: There will be an area for women to go through to gain health knowledge, visit with a healthcare professional, get a hair trim for only $5 from "Center Stage" Salon, get a massage, pedicures/manicures, make-up, clothing, and get pampered and see a fashion show.
3) Support the Veterans: Eight representatives from the Veterans Association will be at the event. In the afternoon, there will be a Battle for the Baskets auction, in which the money will go back to local people, one local business, and Fort Leonard Wood's Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) Program. SOS helps families who have lost soldiers in one way or another.
Why you think someone should attend the event?
“This is the first time the VA [Veterans Association] has come out to support an event in such mass quantities. It's important to attend to help the veterans in the community. Pulaski County has a huge population of veterans and it's our job to take care of them and do anything we can to help them.”
