The Patriot 12 Theatre will be located on GW Lane, next to Waynesville High School. It is expected to open in the summer of 2013.

Twenty-two years ago, B&B Theatres opened its first movie complex in Waynesville (Waynesville Cinema 4) and this November, B&B Theatres broke ground on its latest project, the Patriot 12.

At Wednesday's Chamber of Commerce meeting, representatives from B&B discussed the features of the 12-screen theatre coming to Waynesville, near Waynesville High School, in 2013.

"We have 32 theaters in five different states and Waynesville will be the newest and nicest theater we have ever built," said research analyst for B&B Brock Bagby.

The theater will feature stadium style- seating with leatherback seats, equipped with the latest B&B technology including digital surround sound and wall-to-wall curved screens.

"It will rival any theatre in Kansas City and Springfield. Take my word for it, you guys will love this facility, said Dennis McIntire, director of strategic planning for B&B.Two auditoriums named "the Marquee Suites" will feature leather rocker chairs, a full-service waiting staff, and a full bar and grill. Only guests 21 years of age and older will be able to enter the suites, but guests do not have to buy a movie ticket to enjoy the bar and grill services.

Once a month, there will be a Retro Night at the new theatre, there will be one throw-back movie shown.

At the Chamber meeting, Waynesville Mayor Luge Hardman thanked the B&B Theatre employees for their dedication to the city and their

"I'd like to thank B&B Theatres for sticking with the city of Waynesville for the past 22 years," said Hardman. " I can't tell you enough how much city council and all of the citizens appreciate your investment in the city."

B&B expects a Summer 2013 opening date and plans to hold an official groundbreaking ceremony soon.
