A Richland man was charged with child molestation and abuse last week after a teacher reported alleged abuse to a state hotline.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office was notified of possible child molestation and abuse involving a possible suspect and two minor female children, ages 8 and 10, on Oct. 28. The investigation of this case was referred to the deputies of the Pulaski County Special Victims Unit.
After authorities conducted interviews with the victims and the school teacher who reported the abuse, Pulaski County deputies arrested 43-year-old Thomas Wesley Brigance of Richland on Nov. 16 and was charged with two counts of child molestation in the first degree and two counts of child abuse/ neglect.
Brigance was taken to the Pulaski County Jail and was released a few hours after he posted his $250,000 bond.
