St. Robert City Clerk Debbie Adkins, who started the festival with Loretta Rouse about 15 years ago, said that 20 vendors took part this year. Shoppers had their choice of gift baskets, plants, pottery, knives, candles, clothes, cookies, cupcakes, face painting, beauty salon services and other products and services.

Adkins said the “Holiday in the Park” festival was started to give people another holiday attraction to enjoy after the Waynesville Christmas Parade, which is held earlier on the same day. “Holiday in the Park” ran from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
