Three event highlights:
1: Waynesville's basketball programs will compete against some of the Midwest's finest high school teams, including annual powerhouses McCluer North and Chicago Ridgewood – one of two Ill. teams to compete.
2: Two players on opposing teams are ranked among the nation's top 150 high school juniors; 18 total NCAA Division-I prospects will showcase their talents in the shootout.
3: This year marks the upstart of the Route 66 Shootout, Pulaski County USA, in which the top Mo. team, Christian Brothers College Prep, will play the No. 10 team in the country, Sunrise Christian.
Why you should attend:
"Shootouts help showcase the talents of teams pursuing a higher level of competition. If you like high school basketball, then you'll love these back-to-back games. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first shootout of this type to be held in Waynesville." – Waynesville Athletic Director Josh Scott
