Less than twelve hours after two county inmates escaped from the Dixon jail, both inmates have been caught and taken back into custody.
Late Sunday night at 11:18 p.m. the county inmates escaped the Dixon jail., while a third inmate distracted the guard, according to Sheriff J.B. King.
About a half-hour after the escape, the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office was notified that a robbery occurred on Burington Road in the Crocker area and the suspects were described as the escaped inmates.
At around 3:30 a.m, nearly one hour after the escape, deputies located one of the inmates and took him into custody.
Several hours later at around 10 a.m., inmate Brandon Kelley Monell was found at a residence south of Crocker and taken into custody.
The investigation into the circumstances of the escape from the Dixon City Jail and the robbery at 18775 Burlington Road in Crocker are continuing.
