The St. Robert Wal-Mart forced its customers to evacuate on Tuesday night due to an undisclosed threat, according to Wal-Mart media relations.
The incident occurred around 8 p.m.
"The store perceived something as a threat to its customers and associates and evacuated the store for safety measures," Kayla Whaling, Wal-Mart media relations specialist said.
Whaling said that Wal-Mart then notified police and reopened the store about an hour later, once law enforcement gave confirmation that it was safe to resume business.
Whaling said that Wal-Mart provided the St. Robert police department further information on the incident.
St. Robert Police declined to comment on the incident.
