  • STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. (AP) — A group called Homes for Our Troops has finished its second home in Missouri.
And this past weekend, Cpl. Justin McLoud showed off his new home in Ste. Genevieve County in far eastern Missouri to a group of about 100 supporters.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/12A7U4j ) reports that it's been about two years since an improvised explosive device took McLoud's legs and left arm.
His new four-bedroom ranch home was built with special shelving; lifts for the shower, tub and bed; wood floors and easy-to-reach electrical outlets and light switches.
Since 2005, Homes for Our Troops has finished 117 homes for severely wounded veterans nationwide. McLoud was the last of seven veterans who received keys to their new homes in the run-up to Christmas.
