On Friday, Dec. 21, every student at Wood Elementary received a toy through Operation Homefront, a non-profit organization founded in 2002. In addition, many toys were donated to Partridge and Williams students as well.

Through the generosity of the Operation Homefront organization, the children at Wood Elementary were able to enjoy a small gift provided by the donations of businesses in the St. Louis area that provide overstock items that put a smile on a young child’s heart at Christmas while parent(s) are deployed.

The gifts are a way to salute the families who serve “homefront” and to honor and recognize the sacrifices these families endure during the deployments of their soldiers.
