On Monday night, the Waynesville police apprehended suspects linked to at least two armed robberies in the area, according to Waynesville Chief of Police Robert Carter.
Carter said that the police department will not release the names of the subjects, but both are black males, ages 21 and 17, of St. Robert and Waynesville.
According to Carter, the suspects were linked to the armed robberies that occurred in Waynesville at Orscheln's Farm store on Sunday morning and at Dollar General in Waynesville on Dec. 26.
"The handgun that was used in the armed robbery along with money and mask were recovered," Carter said. "Our investigation revealed that the armed robbery at the Dollar General and at Orscheln's are the same suspects."
Both men are currently being held in Pulaski County Jail and have been formally charged by the prosecutors office for Robbery in the first Degree. Both men were served with warrants with a $500,000 bond, according to the Waynesville Police Facebook page.
