The Pulaski County Sheriff's Department recognizes Jan.24 as a day when two missing person cases were filed and are still seeking help to solve these mysteries.
Pulaski County Detective D.J. Renno has been following both Michelle Henri's case from 2004 and Song Hui Laurer from 2012.
Michelle Henri was last seen at her residence in the Buckhorn area nine years ago today. Michelle was last seen by her ex-husband . She was dealing with depression issues at the time and he had thought she was in the hospital again as she had been before.
"Ms. Henri did have problems with cutting and depression," he said. "It was normal for her to be hospitalized for a few days at a time, but she didn't have a history of running away."
Michelle had previously lived in Richland and worked in Columbia and Jefferson City area as a Respiratory Therapist. She was 25-year-s old and was unemployed at the time of her disappearance. She attended Laquey High School and is formerly known as Michelle Crossland. She has two children, ages 12 and 14.
"She is the only person in her family who stayed in the area," Renno said. "If she's out there, she's doing a very good job of hiding."
Family members believe her disappearance is uncharacteristic and has had no contact with her since her disappearance.
"We want to respect her privacy but we also want to know that she is safe," Renno said. "Her mother wants to know where she is. Her sisters want to know where she is. She has a lot of people wondering where she is."
Renno said that the other missing person's case that was reported on Jan. 24 of last year, "really throws" him, because there is little-to-no information available on her that he can find.
Song Hui Lauer was last seen at the All Star In in St. Robert, where she had resided since March 2010.
She disappeared suddenly without word to any acquaintances about where she might be going and according to Renno's knowledge, she hasn't been seen since.
