  • Three charged in Newburg burglary case

  • Three Phelps County men, including two from Rolla and one from Newburg, have been charged with burglarizing a residence on State Route P at Newburg.
    According to the Phelps County Sheriff's Department, the three individuals, David Andrew Ridenhower, 21, and his brother, Tyler "Travis" William Ridenhower, 19, both of Rolla, and Jack Michael Henson, 23, of Newburg., were arrested on charges of burglary in the first or second degree.
    All three suspects were incarcerated in the Phelps County Jail. Other charges may be following in this ongoing investigation.
    The arrests were made after sheriff's deputies were notified of the burglary which took place Jan. 23 in the 19000 block of State Route P.
    Deputies determined the residence had been broken into while the owners were at work.
    A number of items were stolen, including a handgun, cameras, jewelry and money. The total value exceeded $6,000.
    During the course of this investigation, it was determined that other residences in the area had also been broken into. In the last one, a suspect was seen inside the residence by the owner.
    After numerous interviews and developing other cooperating information, the three suspects were identified and arrested.
    A large part of the stolen property was recovered and returned to the owners.
