An armed suspect was taken into custody early Sunday morning after threatening harm to employees of the Oasis Truck Plaza in Richland.
According to a press release from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department, the male suspect entered the business attempting to sell firearm ammunition and when denied, reportedly threatened to shoot the employees.
The employees believed that the man was armed with a weapon, employees and were able to secure themselves inside after the suspect exited the building to possibly secure a weapon.
At approximately 3:34 a.m. Sunday morning, the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call from the Oasis Truck Plaza, advising a suspect had entered the business, became violent and was making threatening statements to employees.
Upon arrival, sheriff deputies found the suspect in his vehicle and armed with numerous firearms. After a brief standoff, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Pulaski County jail.
According to Missouri Case Net, 55-year-old Daniel M. Lawson of Glencoe, Mo. is charged with the class D felony of making a terrorist threat with reckless disregard of risk.
