The Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce raised a record-breaking $20,000 during Saturday's Taste of Pulaski County & Basket Auction.
More than 300 people attended the event at the St. Robert Community Center and enjoyed live entertainment, delicious food from local restaurants, and a live auction with more than 120 baskets.
Richard Baptiste served as the auctioneer for the day and Joe Grumney was the announcer.
The auction had a tie for the basket with the highest bid. Both the Family MWR's basket, "Advance Green Fees, which included advance family fees at the Piney Valley Golf Course and several golf accessories and Security Bank's "Ultimate Cards Experience" which included four St. Louis Cardinals Club tickets, parking pass, and meal sold for $1,200 each.
The event was sponsored by CenturyLink, City of St. Robert, Daily Guide, KFLW 98.9 The Fort, Laclede Electric Cooperative, Ozark Coca-Cola/Dr. Pepper Bottling Company, Ozarks Technical Community College/Waynesville Education Center, Pepsi Bottling Company and Security Bank.
