Manu Te'o, 25, of Waynesville, and Eric O'Connell, 30, of Iberia, were charged with seven felonies and are currently being held at the Dent County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 cash-only bond.
The two men were arrested Friday by the Dent County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol. The Dent County sheriff's office expressed their appreciation for the two agencies for their assistance in the investigation.
According to Missouri case.net, the charges against Te'o and O'Connell include one count each of conspiracy burglary in the second degree and six counts each of conspiracy theft/stealing of property valued at $500 or more but less than $25,000. Both all Class D felonies.
The thefts occurred on Wednesday, March 27, between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m. Surveillance video caught the two suspects retrieving cattle from back lots, herding them into a shoot and loading them into a 53-foot-long tractor trailer.
