Holocaust survivor to speak to Army Soldiers, civilians
FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. – In combination with National Days of Remembrance, the 14th Military Police Brigade plans to host a Holocaust Days of Remembrance observance from 11 a.m. to noon April 26 in Lincoln Hall Auditorium.
Ben Fainer, a Holocaust survivor who was liberated by the U.S. Army, is the scheduled guest speaker for the event.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with Fainer during a reception in the Lincoln Hall Atrium immediately following his presentation.
Sgt. 1st Class Michael Goodfallow, 14th MP Brigade equal opportunity advisor, said, “As a community we have a unique and fortunate opportunity to hear from a Holocaust survivor in person. This ability to learn about the tragic events of the Holocaust, from someone who personally lived through it, will not be available to future generations.”
“The event is free and open to the public,” Goodfallow said. “It is important to keep in mind that the topic may be sensitive to younger audiences.”
