Dixon coach Alex Shelton's postgame comments: "Weider turned in one of the most dominating pitching performances that I have seen as a coach. Of his 17 strikeouts, he sat the first 10 St. Elizabeth hitters down on strikes … There are still things that we need to continue to perfect as we begin our late-season push."
After capturing the St. Elizabeth Tournament championship Saturday, Dixon faces a tough schedule this week with contests at Russelville and Iberia, a home doubleheader against Licking and Stoutland, and a third home game against Eldon. Shelton said he is "looking forward to the challenge," which began at Russellville on Monday.
