The school received incentives, such as t-shirts and blankets with the “Arrive Alive” message, valued at $100 and a $100 check for additional items needed for the annual event. Pictured with some of the incentive items are Callie Johnson, Leigna Edwards, Randall Helm and Brandi Nickols.
These students assisted with various roadway-safety related project throughout the year, including the Battle of the Belt statewide seat belt competition.
The Meramec Region Coalition for Roadway Safety is a subcommittee of the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety, which provided the grant funding. The coalition works to reduce roadway fatalities statewide by promoting safe driving habits, including encouraging the use of seat belts and discouraging impaired and distracted driving.
