ST. ROBERT – Local sportsmen and shooting enthusiasts can expect a new attraction in the Waynesville-St. Robert area soon.
Bow and Barrel Sportsmen Center hosted a groundbreaking ceremony Saturday with plenty of celebrating by owners, investors and members of the community.
Waynesville mayor Luge Hardman was in attendance and welcomed the facility calling it a "grand project."
The project will boast an indoor firing range, indoor and outdoor archery ranges, and an outdoor archery 3D skill course as well as retail space for firearms, ammunition, accessories, bows, archery equipment and apparel.
The facility is also promising to offer training courses in several areas including self defense for women, conceal and carry, archery safety and operations, several skill based classes on firearms, a home invasion prevention/reaction course, and tactical pistol proficiency.
In addition to classes and sales, the center is planning to host several leagues and tournaments, including a BB gun league for children.
The center hopes to have its grand opening by November 1, 2013 and is located 2290 Harlan Lane in St. Robert.
