What: 33rd Annual Old Settlers Day gathers area residents for a day of celebrating Pulaski County heritage with live music, vendors and the annual YMCA Armed Forces Duck Race.
When: The event will take place Saturday beginning at 9:45 a.m. (See PAGE 3 for event itinerary.)
Where: Downtown Waynesville and Waynesville City Park
Who: Several guests will make an appearance including Waynesville Mayor Luge Hardman, an honorary Fort Leonard Wood representative, Kickapoo Trace Muzzleloaders, and a live band.
How: The annual festival is sponsored by Pulaski County's oldest structure – Old Stagecoach Stop House Museum.
25th Annual YMCA Armed Services Duck Race
9:45 a.m. – Deliver floatable ducks
10 a.m. – Opening ceremony (featuring Bob Hooper, Master of Ceremonies; Jan Primas, Old Stagecoach Shop Foundation President; Luge Hardman, Waynesville Mayor; honorary FLW representative; Firing of Opening Round by Kickapoo Trace Muzzleloaders)
10:30 a.m. – Live music featuring River Berry Players; Best-Dressed Duck Contest
11 a.m. – Duck Race heats begin
Noon – Music and entertainment begins
through Noon – Voting for "People's Choice Award Duck"
1:30 p.m. – Duck Race Finals
through 4 p.m. – Children's games, candy cannon fired hourly
*Note: A candy cannon will be ignited every 30 minutes for children of all ages.
