WAYNESVILLE – Young student-athletes will get an opportunity to hone in on football skills this week.
Waynesville Youth Football will host a Football Skills Camp at Slaughter Field on Thursday beginning at 6 p.m.
The three-day camp is tailored toward young athletes grades 1 through 6.
According to WYF Treasurer Michaela Campbell, the camp will focus on basic football fundamentals and techniques.
"The camp will help first timers and veterans to learn and finely tune their football fundamentals," Campbell said.
Camp and league registrations will take place Thursday beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Camp registration costs $30 and includes a t-shirt.
All participants are advised to dress in athletic attire, including cleats.
Participants are required to bring water.
