  • A St. Robert man has been arrested and charged with beating and robbing a 91-year-old World War II veteran.
Graves R. King II, 35, was arrested on Friday and charged with four felony criminal charges including first degree assault, robbery in the first degree, burglary in the first degree and armed criminal action.
The incident occurred in June when the 91-year-old veteran was brutally beaten after walking in on several suspects who were burglarizing his home.

A $1,000,000 bond for these charges was set by Judge Collin Long.

After the case was reported, Pulaski County Sheriff's detectives began aggressively investigating his case. Graves King II was an immediate suspect but was initially arrested for the charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by county deputies a few days after the robbery, but for a separate offense.
King has been held since June on a $100,000 bond for the unlawful possession of a firearm case. As the the investigation continued, further evidence was gathered and analyzed, which led to the arrest warrant being issued today. According to Sheriff Ron Long, The Pulaski County Prosecutor's Office was also instrumental with this investigation.

King is currently in the custody of the Pulaski County Sheriff, with bonds totaling $1,100,000.
According to Sheriff Long, it is anticipated that additional arrests may be forthcoming in the case.
