  • BELLE – Two overtime periods decided a contest between Crocker's and Belle's soccer squads, but it was the Lions that prevailed on Friday.
    The teams traded possessions until Crocker's Devyn Hair (Jr.) received a cross pass from Austin Bogle (Jr.) for a score 2 minutes into double overtime.
    The 1-0 score gave the Lions (4-1) their fourth straight win since losing a dramatic season opener to Osage on Sept. 5.
    Crocker's Jimmy Rowland (Sr.) tallied nine saves in the shutout victory over Belle.
    Lions' coach Kevin Zimmerman said he has noticed team improvements in every facet of soccer each game.
    Crocker will play in this weekend's Frisco League Tournament in Dixon on Friday and Saturday.
    Game times remain TBA.
