  • The quarterly meeting of the Grand River Historical Society Museum board of directors will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the Chillicothe Elks Lodge, 401 Harvester Road.
The guest speaker for the event will be Jim Two Crows Wallen bringing the Lewis & Clark expedition to life. Jim will be telling stories and sharing artifacts from the company of 40 men who traveled to the Pacific Ocean and back. He will take on the persona of George Shannon, the youngest member of the expedition.
Two Crows presented the program at the society’s quarterly meeting in January of this year, speaking on the Civil War and attracted the largest crowd the society has ever enjoyed for the event, according to board member Ron Wilder.
“He is back again at the request of many of those who attended the January session and asked us to have him back again,” he said.
Prior to the program, a pork loin dinner with salad, vegetable, drink and dessert, catered by Jeff Frampton, will be available for a cost of $10. The dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the program at around 7:15 p.m.
Call the museum at 646-1341 or Ron Wilder at 646-0502 for reservations.
