  • A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries being ejected from his vehicle that collided into a school bus filled with students on Friday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP).

  • A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries being ejected from his vehicle that collided into a school bus filled with students on Friday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP).
    According to the MSHP report, the accident occurred on Friday afternoon as the 69-year-old motorcyclist crossed the centerline of Cave Road on a curve. He then lost control of the 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle and was ejected. After losing control of the vehicle, according to the report, the motorcycle crashed into the bus.
    The accident occurred five miles south of Dixon.
    The MSHP report said that the bus was loaded students, but none of them were injured.
    The driver of the bus , 69-year-old Donald Vineyard of Dixon, did not suffer any injuries. The bus did not have any damage, according to the report.
    The motorcyclist, Dale Schutte of Harpers Ferry, Ia., was taken to the University Medical Center in Columbia by Lifeline Air Ambulance.
