  • Korean War monument ceremony Nov. 11

  • The Pulaski County Korean Association is presenting a Korean War monument to the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Leonard Wood on November 11, 2013, to honor Korean War Veterans for their sacrifices during the Korean War from 1950-1953. The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. and be held at the cemetery.

  • The Pulaski County Korean Association is presenting a Korean War monument to the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Leonard Wood on November 11, 2013, to honor Korean War Veterans for their sacrifices during the Korean War from 1950-1953. The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. and be held at the cemetery.
    The monument includes the names of 358 Korean War Veterans from 62 counties across the state of Missouri who gave their lives during the war. The monument is inscribed in English and Korean with the quote "Freedom is not Free."
    Several Korean War Veterans from the area are expected to attend along with area leaders and dignitaries. The public is invited to attend.
    The monument has been a long time in the making and the Pulaski County Korean Association is excited to donate it to the Fort Leonard Wood Veterans Cemetery andour community.
