A graduate of Waynesville High has earned a spot on the Westminister Blue Jays' women's basketball team for the upcoming season.

ROLLA, Mo. – A graduate of Waynesville High has earned a spot on the Westminister Blue Jays' women's basketball team for the upcoming season.

Danielle Williams (Jr., F), a former WHS student-athlete, scored six points and tallied four rebounds and two blocks against Missouri S&T in Rolla, Mo. in the Blue Jays' Friday night loss, 85-52.

Westminster appeared in the NCAA Division II Tournament in 2012-13 for the second time in two seasons (2011-12). At the end of this past season, Westminster earned back-to-back-to-back St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) championships and back-to-back SLIAC Tournament championships.

The Blue Jays finished the season with a 17-11 overall record and a 14-2 SLIAC record.

Westminister will begin the regular season Nov. 15 as the school will host the Tip-Off Tournament. The Blue Jays will face Elmhurst College at 5:00 p.m.
