  • The Randolph County Sheriff and Coroner have confirmed to the MMI that current Huntsville Police Chief William "Buddy" Stuck died this morning (Wednesday, Nov. 27).
"He is dead," said Randolph County Coroner Gerald Luntsford early Wednesday, when asked by the MMI. Stuck, back in July of this year, was appointed deputy coroner under Luntsford.
Luntsford could not confirm Stuck's cause of death, he said, and noted that he had ordered an autopsy on his body.
He said Stuck's death occurred at approximately 5:20 a.m., Wednesday.
Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols confirmed that the death took place this morning, and said that it happened at Stuck's residence, in Huntsville. Nichols said that his department, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control, are currently investigating the incident.
Both Luntsford and Nichols said that they would provide more information as it became readily available.
