Devoted wife and loving mother
Evelyn B. Mack, age 88, of Sunrise Beach, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born October 20, 1925, in Maryville, Missouri, a daughter of the late Merle and Helen (Jackson) Thompson.
On November 25, 1954, in Savannah, Missouri, she was united in marriage to William Mack, who survives the home.
Evelyn worked in the Kansas City area for over 20 years as a dental assistant until her retirement.
She was a member of the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church and the Lady Elks both in Laurie.
Evelyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, Bill, Sr., she is survived by her sons, Lon Jensen of Perry, Florida and Bill Mack, Jr. and wife Andrea of Camdenton, Missouri; three grandchildren, Brett Jensen and wife Pam of St. Louis, Missouri, Johna Geist and husband Rob of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Garrison Mack of Camdenton, Missouri; two great-grandchildren; her sisters, Goldia Trimpe and husband Howard of St. Joseph, Missouri, Lois Rapp of Gladstone, Missouri and Donna Holmes and husband Don of St. Joseph, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many friends.
A celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 14th, at the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Rick White officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
