  • Waynesville City Council recently approved Police Chief Dan Cordova to create a community police board that will serve to support the city regarding police needs.
The board will be composed of five to seven volunteers who live within Waynesville City limits and who will be approved by City Council.
The community police board will meet on a quarterly basis or as needed and will advise the Chief of Police and city administrator in the selection of police officers under consideration for employment.
Cordova said in city council that the structure of the board will be similar to the City of Rolla's community police board.
