A St. Robert man with a slew of drug-related charges recently waived his right in Pulaski County Circuit Court to a preliminary hearing.
Samuel E. Sloas, 35, of St. Robert, was charged in November with felony possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute. Court documents list that substance as heroin.
Sloas was also charged with possessing alprazolam, another controlled substance.
He had another charge of possessing drug paraphernalia with the intent to use. Court documents identify the paraphernalia as syringes and antihistamines and allege that Sloas possessed the materials with the intent to use them to produce and prepare methamphetamine.
Since Sloas waived his preliminary hearing, his case will now go to trial in January.
